What furnishings are provided in the apartment?

Amenities included in the apartment rental:

How close to the beach are you and how do I get there?

The apartment is situated on a hill overlooking the Caribbean Sea, which is about three hundred yards away. It is very easy to hop into the golf cart provided, and drive to the beach, where there is free parking for golf carts. The ride is approximately five minutes, and on the way you may catch glimpses of the tropical birds, turtles and amphibians that inhabit the gardens in the resort.

What payment do you accept?

We accept PayPal, credit cards (through PayPal), wire/bank/electronic funds transfers, cash, personal checks and money orders. All funds must be in US Dollars.

What if I need to cancel my reservation?

Reservations cancelled at least 30 days in advance of the booking will be refunded 50% of the full rental fee. Reservations cancelled with fewer than 30 days prior notice are not eligible for any refund.

What is the check-in/check-out policy?

Guests may check in at 4 pm. Check out is at 11 am. If you require different check-in or check-out times, please inquire with us- we want to make sure we leave enough time to prepare the apartment in between rentals.

What about pets?

Pets are allowed ONLY by prior arrangement with the owner.

Is Palmas del Mar child-friendly?

Palmas del Mar is a great destination for families with children with many activities accessible to all ages. However, please know that children must be supervised while in the apartment, pool and beach at all times.

Is it easy to get around Palmas?

Absolutely. Palmas was designed with dedicated lanes for pedestrian and golf-cart traffic. In fact, a great way to spend some time is to take a drive around the resort in a golf cart. You’ll see stunning vistas, interesting plants and native animals, and friendly neighbors.

Are there restaurants and supermarkets nearby?

Absolutely. If you are hoping to dine out, there are a variety of restaurants in Palmas del Mar itself. Nearby Punta Santiago has charming restaurant options as well.  As for grocery stores, in Humacao, you’ll find supermarkets such as Ralph’s, Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club. With access to these markets and a new designer kitchen, you will have no problem feeding yourself during your stay.

What if there is a hurricane?

Check the National Hurricane Center website for "watches" and "warnings".

Officially, hurricane season for Puerto Rico lasts from June 1 through November 30.

If a Hurricane Watch or Warning for Puerto Rico is posted by the NOAA during the time of your stay, the policies are as follows:

1. •If the Watch/Warning is posted prior to your arrival, and you decide to cancel your reservation, any deposits/rental fees will be refunded.
   

2. •If during your stay a Watch/Warning is posted for Puerto Rico, and you must leave early, your rental fee will be refunded on a prorated basis.
   

3. •If prior to your arrival, the property has sustained damage due to a tropical storm or hurricane, and we must cancel your reservation, we will refund all deposits/rental fees made. We are not liable to you for any charges incurred in making changes to your travel plans.
